What Is The Best Day To Visit Pearl Harbor?
There is no specific day that is better than another if you want to visit Pearl Harbor. Visitor numbers fluctuate throughout the day, but it can get crowded later on when visiting the Arizona Memorial. Your best bet is to get there earlier in the day to enjoy calmer waters during the skiff ride out to the memorial, before the trade winds pick up in the late morning.
How Long Does It Take To Get From Kauai To Oahu?
Oahu and Kauai are right next to each other in the chain of Hawaiian islands. They are only 63 miles apart so it takes only about 35 minutes from take-off to touchdown on a Hawaiian Airlines flight.
How Much Time Do We Spend On Oahu?
Depending on the tour you choose to take, you can be on the island between 8 to 12 hours. Your flight to Honolulu will leave Kauai between 6 to 7 a.m. and return you between 4 to 7 p.m. that same day.
Our shortest Oahu day trip from Lihue is the Arizona & Missouri Battleship tour. Your guide meets you curbside in Honolulu at approx. 7:00 a.m. and return you to the airport at 3:00 p.m.
Why Do These Tours Start So Early?
We like to stay ahead of the crowds and you will too. You will want to maximize your time on Oahu, so itʻs best to start with the sunrise. We have been running tours for many, many years and know how to deliver the best, most consistent experience. The Navy boat that takes you out to the USS Arizona Memorial may not be running if the winds are too strong. The possibility of this happening is greater during the late morning and afternoon.
What Do We Do With Our Luggage & Bags?
Bags are not allowed inside Pearl Harbor, for safety reasons, so please bring cash to check each bag at the entrance ($7.00 per small bag, $10.00 per large bag). Make arrangements with our team, to securely hold onto your luggage if you are planning to continue onto another island, instead of returning back to Kauai.

How Many Sailors & Marines Are Entombed In The Arizona Memorial?
Within the wreck of Arizona, there are 1,103 remains of those who served on the ship. Over 900 died during the attack on Dec. 7th, 1941, and never left the ship. They are considered to be buried at sea. Starting in 1982, the Navy allowed survivors to have their ashes interred in the ship after they died as well, so they could rejoin their shipmates who never got a chance to fight.

What Is Included In The Guided Tours?
All of our guided tours include round-trip airfare on Hawaiian Airlines to and from Honolulu as well as tickets to board a Navy vessel that takes you out to the Arizona Memorial (fast-track ticket to the Memorial included). Your guide will meet you curbside at the airport and return you to that location after an 8-10 hour tour of Oahu.

Are These Tours Refundable or Changeable?
There are no refunds for any tours that include airline flights 24-hours after the tour is booked. We are able to make changes to the dates you would like to, for a fee, but the tickets are non-transferable to another person.
Is Transportation To LIH On Kauai Included?
You will need to find your own way to-and-from the airport on Kauai. We can arrange transportation for you, for an extra fee. Some accommodations will provide a shuttle service, so you can avoid the airport parking fees.
What Happens After Arrival At The Honolulu Airport?
Before heading to the airport on Kauai, your guide for the day will be in touch. They will let you know who they are, their phone number, and anything else you need to know.
After you exit from the inter-island terminal , you will meet your guide at:
- “Prearranged 1” for guests arriving in Terminal 1
- “Prearranged 3” for guests arriving in Terminals 2 and 3
